Plant-Based Curry Delivery: The Easy Way to Enjoy Home-Style Indian Food Every Week
As a kid the most enjoyable aspect of school day was not break time or getting home, it would be opening my lunchbox around lunchtime.
Every day, my mom packed it up with freshly prepared Indian food. When I opened the lid just a few hours later the food was warm, delicious, fragrant and bursting with flavor. In retrospect, I see that it wasn't only what was served that had made the meals special. It was the effort involved in preparing them and the sense of being at home with each bite.
When I relocated to England I was missing many things that I loved about my home however, it was nothing more than easy, home-cooked meals. As many people I tried out restaurant curries and takeaway meals hoping to discover the same comforting flavor I grew up with. There were some meals that were good but none could replicate the warmth, freshness, and familiarity of my mom's food.
A few years later, life became busier. Between family, work life and the everyday obligations I began to ask the same question that many of us do every week.
"What's for dinner tonight?"
I was looking for healthy, nutritious food that wasn't an uncompromising choice. I wanted to eat a healthy meal without having to shop for hours, chopping vegetables, making meals, and cleaning up after a long day.
This is how the concept for Royal Dabba was born.
I tried to make it easy for families with busy schedules, professionals, students, and everyone who is interested in healthy and balanced eating to enjoy the kind of home-cooked food I grew to love. Freshly prepared vegan and vegetarian curries that are served alongside rice, vegetables, Sabjis, and carefully selected dishes based on traditional recipes shared at family dinners for generations.
When someone opens a Royal Dabba, I hope they experience the same feeling I had when I was a child: that comforting sensation of opening a freshly cooked dinner that's been prepared with love.

A Midweek Meal Solution for Busy Lives
After a long day, cooking from scratch isn't always at the top of your list. By the time you've finished work, collected the children, been to the gym, or dealt with the day's endless to-do list, it's easy to lose the motivation to cook.
You want something warm, comforting, and satisfying—but without spending an hour in the kitchen. And while a takeaway might seem like the easiest option, sometimes you're looking for something that feels a little more like home and healthier.
That's exactly why I started Royal Dabba.
Our freshly prepared plant-based meals give you the comfort of home-style Indian cooking without the time and effort that usually comes with it.
No shopping.
No chopping vegetables.
No standing over the stove.
No sink full of pans to wash afterwards.
Just heat your meal, sit down, and enjoy authentic Indian food that's been cooked with care.
More Than Just Another Takeaway
There's nothing wrong with ordering a takeaway now and then. We all do it.
But sometimes, what you're really craving is a proper home-cooked meal—something warm, comforting, and made with care.
That's exactly the kind of meal I wanted Royal Dabba to provide.
Our vegetarian and vegan meals are inspired by the food I grew up eating: freshly cooked curries, rice, vegetable sabzis, and wholesome sides. It's the kind of food that leaves you feeling satisfied, nourished, and ready for the rest of your evening.
It's not just another takeaway. It's a little taste of home, prepared with love and delivered to your door.
